Fresno Building Healthy Communities Launches New Program

Community Health Worker Certification

We are recruiting participants for our Community Health Worker Certification Program. It’s no secret that these workers are the backbone of the Valley’s multi-billion-dollar agriculture economy. Despite their contributions, farmworkers experience chronic underemployment, low wages, and a lack of accessible career pathways, with median incomes at poverty levels.

Fresno Building Healthy Communities aims to address these issues by providing foundational job skills, including English literacy, digital proficiency, and culturally responsive training. The ultimate goal is to enable participants to secure living-wage jobs while staying within their communities.
