Advancing Health Equity for #OneHealthyFresno

Health

We promote health equity by influencing policies that expand access to preventative medical care, increase investment in community health solutions, and improve overall health outcomes across Fresno County.

Why Transportation Matters

Too many families face barriers to basic care, including insurance gaps, language access, clinic availability, and even transportation. We help residents find clinics, mental health support, dental care, and options for the uninsured, while pushing for policy change that makes healthcare access the norm and not the exception.

Here are a few ways that we improve health outcomes throughout our community.

Policy and Systems Change: We focus on long-term, community-driven solutions that shift policies and budgets toward accessibility and equity, because lasting health gains require structural change.

Resource Navigation and Direct Supports: Our resources hub connects people to care today, everything from federally qualified health centers to behavioral health services and dental care.

Youth Leadership in Public Health: Through our youth internship program, young leaders learn alongside community health workers to lead prevention, education, and outreach – building the next generation of health advocates.

Key Efforts

We co-developed the COVID-19 Equity Project, a collaborative of 17+ organizations and 100 community health workers. Together, we provided prevention education, vaccinations, and resources to over 25,000 residents, with the model replicated in two other counties.
