Know Your Rights

The threats from this administration are now a reality. The president is aggressively targeting and harming a wide variety of families, especially farm workers and immigrants, through the California Border Patrol (CBP) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

However bleak this situation is, we are not powerless, and we will fight for and with these families. Remember, regardless of immigration status, all individuals in the United States have rights. So please spread the word, and share these simple reminders with your partners and as many families as you can:

• If someone is stopped by CBP or ICE, that person has the right to remain silent
• The individual should NOT consent to a search
• The person should not sigh ANY documents
• The person has the right to speak with an attorney
• The individual has the right to due process
