Each year, we present Community Champion Awards to individuals and organizations whose leadership has strengthened our neighborhoods. These honorees are the organizers, advocates, youth leaders, and everyday residents who step forward when their community needs them.
They are the reason safer streets get built, parks are renovated, workers find new pathways to opportunity, and policies shift toward fairness and accountability.
Over the past year, we have seen real progress in Fresno County. We have advanced transportation investments that prioritize neighborhood roads and safer routes to school. We have stood alongside residents demanding accountability in land use and infrastructure decisions. We have strengthened partnerships that protect environmental health in communities long overburdened by pollution.
The Community Champion Awards give us a chance to celebrate those efforts and the people behind them.
Your Support Makes Our Work Possible
The Community Champion Awards is also our largest annual fundraiser. Our work cannot happen without your support. Organizing takes staff. Community outreach requires time and materials. Research, advocacy, youth leadership development, and coalition building all depend on sustainable support.
