A Night for Celebration: Our Partner Appreciation Gathering
Partner Appreciation Gathering
Every year, the calendar is filled with long evenings at committee meetings, early mornings spent preparing materials, and the steady rhythm of planning sessions, strategy calls, and community workshops. We spend so much of our time together in motion, reaching new milestones, moving campaigns forward, and creating meaningful change in Fresno County.
Our Partner Appreciation Gathering was designed to be something different. It is a night to pause, look around the room, and enjoy the people who work beside us all year long.
And it worked.
Hosted at our Fresno BHC office, the evening unfolded with the kind of energy that happens when you put dedicated community partners in a space with good music, great food, and no agenda except enjoying each other’s company. There were no stacks of documents to review, no looming decisions to be made. Just a cheerful room full of people who spent the past year pushing, building, creating, improving – and who, for one night, got to simply relax together.

We welcomed organizations who have stood with us through campaigns that require persistence and no shortage of courage. Leaders from neighborhood-based groups, advocacy organizations, youth-serving programs, public health partners, and longtime collaborators. It was an opportunity to spend an evening with friends, to laugh, to celebrate all we have accomplished this year.
Live music by Miel de Agave added steady and joyful energy to the evening. Thank you to the incredible performers who pulled the night together with their beautiful music.

Throughout the night, we found ourselves thinking about how rare it is to be in a room like this one. We work with partners who care deeply about Fresno’s future. They show up in ways that the broader public rarely fully sees. Helping families navigate difficult systems, pushing for fair policies, stepping up when there’s a need, amplifying community voices, and holding powerful institutions accountable.
These are not small contributions. They shape the health, safety, and opportunity of entire neighborhoods.
This was one of those special nights when you can feel the strength of your community simply by standing in it. It was also a reminder that no matter how demanding our work becomes, we are surrounded by partners who carry the same commitment, endurance,
and belief in a healthier, safer, stronger Fresno.
As we move forward into the new year, we will carry this energy with us. We’re grateful to every organization that stands with us, pushes alongside us, and chooses, day after day, to keep building One Healthy Fresno.
And we’re looking forward to doing even more in the year ahead. Together.
