Fresno Building Healthy Communities Launches New Program

Community Health Worker Certification

We are recruiting folks to take part in our Farmworker Advancement Program (FAP). It’s no secret that these workers are the backbone of the Valley’s multi-billion-dollar agriculture economy. Despite their contributions, farmworkers experience chronic underemployment, low wages, and a lack of accessible career pathways, with median incomes at poverty levels.

Fresno Building Healthy Communities wants to address these issues by providing foundational job skills, such as English literacy, digital proficiency and training that are culturally responsive. The ultimate goal is to enable participants to secure living-wage jobs, while staying within their communities.

To learn more and to apply, please visit our Farmworker Advancement Program Page, or if you have any questions, please contact Leticia Gonzalez at legonzalez@fresnobhc.org or (559) 256-8722, ext. 105.
