This year’s event was a tremendous success!
This year, more than 120 people gathered under the vibrant and symbolic theme Luchadores del Valle—Fighting for a Better Future at Roger Rocka’s Dinner Theater to celebrate this year’s honorees, who truly embody the rich legacy of Lucha Libre.
These luchadores show courage, resilience and unwavering commitment each day to uplift our neighborhoods and create lasting change. It was our pleasure to honor them and show appreciation for their work, and now we can’t wait to get started on next year’s event, which will be Back to the Future, proving we can take control of our destiny to create #OneHealthyFresno.
While we look to crown the new champions, we’ll always be grateful to this year’s winners: Sarah Reyes, for her tireless and passionate commitment to put health at the forefront of each issue; Gloria Hernandez, for her decades of community service in the fight for justice; Naindeep Singh Chann, for his work to uplift marginalized voices; Binational of California, an organization that lives up to its mission each day to “help our communities rise”; and Evan Yang, who will soon graduate from high school and lives by this quote: “no act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.”
If you missed this year’s event, don’t worry, it’s not too late to join us and show your support for the rest of the year and beyond. Your donation is an investment in our youth and in our city’s health. Please, help us keep the momentum going. As always, thank you!
